This was Michael's and my plan for ass, written on the fridge, to remind us daily of our goal - the perfect butt๐.
What do you think happened after writing this down? Exactly - not much ๐
. Maybe the goal was set too high.
But wait. Something did happen. Something far better than a perfect butt (nothing's really perfect anyway, is it?).

When I open the fridge now, I sometimes pause, think of what I do not have (you know what I mean...). Then I sigh, put a hand on my heart, feel the warmth of that hand, and say to myself: "It is not about the perfect a**, it is about loving the a** you have."
And that, my friends, is selfcompassion.
Are you interested in one of my courses how to learn to practice self-compassion? I have just finished one with my dear friend and Co-Teacher DariaSteketee and am already planning the next one. Send me a note, if you are interested.
What about your relationship to your body? Are you striving to be perfect? Or are you befriending the body you are having?
